John Sickels asked Senior Vice President Mark Newman some questions about the Yankees farm system. As all interviews with Newman do, it contains some good information. As I've mentioned here in the past, Newman talks about the velocity increases of Jeremy Bleich, Adam Warren, and David Phelps. He discusses the team's philosophy—how they try to find impact bats(e.g. Jesus Montero, Kelvin De Leon) on the international market because those types of hitting ceilings don't drop to the bottom of the first round.
