So I learned how to spell his name for nothing. George King III has the news. Seems like the Yankees were willing to shell out the money to get Adeinis Hechavarria signed, but he wanted to join a team with more of an opening at shortstop. Ten million dollars is a lot for someone as unproven as Hechavarria, but I'm sure the Yankees would have been happy to have him at that price.
