While We've been away, Christian Garcia made his first start of the year in AA with somewhat mixed results but its nice to get him back out there and hopefully he stays healthy.

Scranton-AAA

What Slump?? Beat Pawtucket 14-1.

-          Kontos pitched well as he went 6 innings walking 1 and striking out 2 while allowing no runs.

-          Edwar Ramirez pitched late in the game, 2 innings, 2 K's, and one wild pitch.

-          Austin Jackson was 1-4 with a double, 3 RBIs and 2 walks.

-          The newest face in town Romulo Sanchez allowed one run on a HR in an inning of relief work.

-          Todd Linden was 2 for 6 with 2 doubles 2 RBIs and 2 strike outs. He also had an outfield assist.

-          Shelly Duncan was 1 for 4 with a HR, a walk and 2 RBIs.

-          Juan Miranda was 2 for 3 with a HR 3 RBIs and 2 walks.

Trenton-AA

Lost to Akron 3-0

-          Jeanmar Gomez pitched a perfect game for Akron. Not much else you can say about that.

-          McAllister started and actually pitched well, 6 innings one walk 5 strike outs and on earned run.

-          Dunn pitched 3 innings and allowed only 1 run on 2 hits and a walk.

Tampa-A+

Lost 5-2 and 6-0 to Lakeland

-          Dellin Betances started the first game and was awful. 2 innings, 4 earned runs and 4 walks caps off what has been a poor few starts for Betances.

-          Lance Pendleton started the second game and went 4 and 1/3 with 3 earned runs with 3 walks and 4 strike outs.  

-          Jesus Montero was 2 for 5 on the day- he allowed a passed ball and 4 stolen bases. A Swell DH he'll make.

-          Austin Romine was 1 for 5 with a walk and a throwing error but did throw a runner out.

Charleston-A

Won 9-1 over Lexington

-          Andrew Brackman had another terrific start, going 8 innings giving up only 1 run and a walk while striking out 6. His ERA is down to 3.55 and has put together some good outings now.

-          Abraham Almonte was 2 for 5 with a double and an RBI.

-          Dan Brewer was 1 for 5 with 2 RBIs.

-          Melky Mesa was 2 for 4 with a triple and his 10^th HR of the year and picked up his 8^th stolen base of the year. No strike outs which is a good sign for him.
