Kelvin De Leon-GCL-OF

1-for-1, 2R, 1 HR (1), 1 RBI, 3 BB

Well De Leon has sure gotten off to a hot start, making the Pending Performance list three nights in a row. A common question with young guys from the DR is if they'll develop any plate discipline- nice to see those 3 BBs.

Arodys Vizcaino-Short Season SI-RHP

4IP, 3 H, 3 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 7 K

Vizcaino is certainly proving why he was so high on several Yankee prospect lists so far. The 18 year old have been impressive so you'll have to watch out for him. They'll take it extremely slow with him so don't expect to see any sort of call up any time soon. Nice start to the season for him.

Melky Mesa-A-OF

3-for-5, 2 R, 2 HR (15,16), 3 RBIs

Big hitter, Mesa. Long. We've seen him flash the power all season, most recently in the class A HR derby and Mesa DOES like to mash.  The batting average might be low (.251) and the on base percentage below average (.326) but that slugging percentage is pretty (.543).

Jeremy Bleich-A+- LHP

6.1 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 K (11 GB's)

Bleich has been a really nice piece to the Tampa rotation. The 2008 draft pick has been nothing but impressive so far, hope he can keep it up. Might be seeing the Stanford man jump a level in the near future.

Goat of the Night

Andrew Brackman-A-RHP

3.1 IP, 6 H, 5 ER, 4 BB, 3 K

Its been a bit of a rough start to say the least for our friend Mr. Brackman, anytime you start off your season with 44 BBs in 68 innings you know your not going so well. Added to the fact he's 23 in A ball it gets a little darker. But he has just come off TJ surgery so we'll give him a pass (I guess?) and command has always been a problem for him so we're not going to get too crazy here. I think.

Seriously, does anyone have a name for this section? Anyone? Bueller?
