Trenton Thunder- Eastern League- North Division

Reegie Corona- .309/.429/.414 33BB/24Ks 11 2Bs, 2 HRs, 6 SBs, .387 .wOBA

Corona struggled in his time up in AAA this year but has had a solid AA season so far. Corona is still just 22 and has played average defense in his career at 2nd base. The switch hitting Corona struggles against lefties and if he could improve against them in the future he'd be a nice utility option up the middle.

Jesus Montero- .342/.399/.530 20BB/31Ks, 17 2Bs, 8 HRs, 41 RBIs, .409 .wOBA

Montero has obviously had a breakout year. The 19 year old was promoted from A+ Tampa to Trenton recently and despite his age has just not stopped hitting. He's moving so quickly now and hitting so well that he's probably the consensus number one prospect for the Yankees. His defense is obviously very poor but he'll be a catcher for the immediate future and he COULD walk more (but that's really nitpicking right there).

Jorge Vazquez- .316/.345/.556 5BB/27Ks, 8 2Bs, 8 HRs, 133 ABs, .404 .wOBA

The Mexican league veteran has hit a ton since joining AA.  The 27 year old 1st baseman has exhibited good power and has come back well from a stint on the DL recently. As you can see he's quite a bit of a hacker but he still has mashed quite a bit. He's struggled against lefties so far this year but has performed admirably in a pure pitchers park to this point.

Wilkens De La Rosa- 4-4 3.57 ERA, 57K/24BBs, .73 GO/AO, 4.50 FIP

De La Rosa had 3 great starts in A+ Tampa and was called up to Trenton. As a fly ball pitcher, he's given up 8 homeruns in 44 innings pitched in a big Trenton ball park. Those are his combined statistics above and he's clearly still adjusting to the more difficult league but he's making progress. As a southpaw De La Rosa has been pretty tough on lefties. Hopefully he can improve and continue to progress.

Zach McAllister- 5-3 1.81 ERA, 57K/20BBs, 1.04 GO/AO, 3.10 FIP

McAllister is having a huge year and easily has been the ace of the Trenton staff. McAllister has never been a strike out artist and he's not racking up the K's this year either- a 6.6 K/9 rate won't wow anyone. But he keeps the ball in the yard and manages to get a decent amount of ground ball outs. McAllister is showing why he's one of the top Yankee pitching prospects and hopefully he can keep this up.

Michael Dunn- 2-2 3.48 ERA, 57K/21BBs, 41 IP, .97 GO/AO, 2.49 FIP

Dunn has been outstanding in relief for Trenton. The 24 year old lefty has been eye opening, shutting down lefties as well as righties. He's struggled with walks a bit, slightly over 4/9, but has only given up 1 home run thus far. If Dunn can continue to pitch this way, look for him to move up quickly.

Josh Schmidt (2.91 FIP), Christian Garcia (4.08 FIP) and Ivan Nova (4.02 FIP) have also all pitched extremely well for a sound pitching Trenton team.
