Kei Igawa-AAA-LHP

6 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 8 K

Igawa is the running joke for Yankee incompetence in baseball and every fan would shudder at the thought of seeing him back in pinstripes. It shows you how much the Yankees think of him because despite his past two years (7-3 with a 3.70 ERA and 75 Ks in 94 innings in 2009 and 14-6 3.45 ERA, 117 Ks, 125 IP in 2008) good work he was never even considered to fill in Wang last week. He'll always be the 45 million dollar black eye for Brian Cashman but on some nights he shows you just enough to make you pause and think, what if?  

Reggie Corona-AA-2B

2-for-4, 2 R, 2 2B, 4 RBIs

Corona is another future utility type who was looking to make a splash this year and move up on the depth chart. Instead he struggled mightily in AAA before getting sent back to AA. The 22 year old is hitting .292/.396/.400 in AA however and he looks to be back on track.

Neil Medchill-R-LF

2-for-3, 2 R, 1 2B, 1 BB, 1 HR (7), 2 RBIs

I feel like Medchill makes this list every time we do it and that's just about accurate. I honestly thought at some point he would hit a wall or cool off but it just hasn't happened- he's now homered in 4 consecutive games. The reports so far have been dead on about Medchill: he can flat out rake.

Deangelo Mack-R-RF

3-for-4, 1 RBI

Mack started off a bit slow and now through 80 AB's he's hitting .278/.321/.401. That's not likely to raise many eye brows but the 13^th rounder has been hitting well lately. What you need to see from Mack is some more power- He has only 9 extra base hits at this point (1 HR) and that opposite field pop we heard about just hasn't been there so far. That may be changing though as he's 6 for his last 9 with a 2B and an HR. We're still optimistic.
