Yeah yeah, I know I'm a bit late on this news, but I've been busy giving you amazing original content and never got around to posting about any of these signings and there could be a few of you out there who didn't hear about them.

First, the Yankees signed Jon Weber to a minor league deal. He's a veteran who put up decent numbers for Tampa's AAA squad last season, but is really just added depth. Think of him as a replacement for Shelley Duncan.

While Weber isn't really a prospect, the Yankees signed some international free agents as well. They signed the Dominican Eladio Moronta who had been suspended for lying about his age. The deal is reportedly worth around $570,000. I don't know much about the guy, but that's a pretty significant bonus.

The Yankees also signed an 18-year-old out of Taiwan, Fu-Lin Kuo. Mike Axisa points us to a brief scouting report on Kuo.

I always support the Yankees attacking the international market because throwing a few hundred thousand bucks at a ton of players will pay off if just one of them makes it. Good plan by the Yankees here and hopefully one of these two prospects works out.
