Chad Jennings gives us a pretty indepth profile of Jamie Hoffman -- way better than my short profile earlier. Basically, it seems that Cashman likes his plate discipline and the fact that he bats from the right side. If Cashman was looking for a right handed outfielder to mix in, I think there are better options available. Matt Murton, anyone?

Joel Sherman checked in with some Dodger executives and got some interesting quotes. The Dodgers like Hoffmann and are glad the Yankees took him, as they don't give him much of a shot to stick there.

As someone pointed out to me, Hoffmann played in a big-time hitters environment in Albuquerque. This resulted in a not-too-pretty MLE line of .223/.299/.329, yikes.
