The invaluable Mike Ashmore has some good stuff on McAllister's start last night:

First, a video of McAllister throwing: His mechanics look very clean to me on that pitch.

And, some nice quotes from McAllisters himself:

• "A little bit of everything (was working tonight).  Some innings, it was my fastball and slider.  Other innings, it was my changeup.  Depending on what innings it was, that was what was working for me." -  It's nice to see that if one pitch isn't working for him, he can switch to another and still get the job done.

• "Pretty much every pitch, (Cervelli and I) were on the same page.  There was a couple times maybe, where there was a shake-off, but other than that, we were right on." - I've always wanted Cervelli to succeed because of his defensive prowess, and quotes like this can help. I'm not sure how much impact a catcher's game calling skills can really have, but teams seem to believe they are important. If Cervelli attains this type of reputation, he could be worth something in a trade or as a backup catcher.
