- The Tests came back on Ian Kennedy and he was diagnosed with a vasospasm which will be treated with medicine. He will receive a further evaluation on Monday and could resume throwing shortly there after.
- Alfredo Aceves started and was very, very good. He went 8 innings while allowing only 3 hits and a walk while striking out 6. Steven Jackson worked the 9th and after getting into a bases loaded no out jam, he recorded 3 scoreless outs to preserve the shutout.
- Shelly Duncan hit his 7th home run of the year, going 1-3 with a BB and 2 RBIs.
- John Rodriguez and Todd Linden were both 1-4. Linden now has his hitting streak at 14 games. Rodriguez hit a 3 run HR in the 4th.
- Austin Jackson was 1-3 with a walk.
- Eric Duncan was 2-4.
Trenton-AA
Lost 3-2
- Big news out of Trenton today from Mike Ashmore is that Alan Horne will indeed start on Saturday. The plan is to build his arm strength back up and then go from there. - Zach McAllister got the start and was just Okay. He went 4 innings but walked 4 and gave up 2 earned runs. He did manage to strike out 5 and his ERA for the year remains at an impressive 2.53.
- Marcos Vechionacci went 2-4 with 2 strike outs.
- Reggie Corona was 1-3 with a BB and 1 RBI.
- Kyle Anson and Kevin Smith were both 2-4 with a run scored each. Anson also threw out 3 runners.
Tampa-A+
Lost 5-0
- Tampa got shut out today and only managed 2 hits against Lakeland. Lance Pendleton got the start, lasted 5 innings and surrendered 2 runs while striking out 3 with 2 walks.
- Romine and Hilligoss were the only Yankees to pick up hits; Hilligoss walked twice.
Charleston-A
Lost 12-10
- In a high scoring affair, Brett Marshall got the start but was touched up for 8 runs, 4 of which were earned in 4 innings of work. Brandon Braboy pitched 2 and 2/3's striking out 6 giving up only 2 hits and one run.
- Kruml went 4-5 with a double and 2 RBIs. He's now hitting .310 on the season.
- David Adams was 2-5 with 2 doubles and 4 RBIs.
- Melky Mesa was 2-5 with a HR and one RBI
- Chase Weems went 2-3 and doubled twice picking up 2 RBIs and a BB.
