Scranton annihilates Durham, 20-2 (Scranton Wins Series, 3-1)
  • Philip Hughes got the start and was very dominant. In 5 innings, Phil allowed 1 run on 4 hits and 4 walks, striking out 12 in the process. The most important part of the outing came in the 4th inning, as Phil just walked in a run with no outs. However following that walk, Phil beared down and struck out the side. Say what you want, but when the games mean something, Phil shows his true colors. He did so today, and as a result, Scranton was able to win the IL Championship. Don't give up on him just yet!

Next up: Scranton will now fly over to Oklahoma to take on Pacific Coast League Champion in the Bricktown Showdown. This will be on Tuesday. Trenton's Game vs Akron postponed due to rain. In other news, Eric SanInocencio of Baseball Digest Daily will be interviewing Phil Hughes on his show tomorrow, which should make for a great listen. Hopefully Phil will talk about his recent impressive outing, as well as what has changed this season.
