Per the New York Post, several pitching prospects are moving up to the next level. Daniel McCutchen, who has been very effective in AA this season (2.53 ERA, 46 K's in 50 innings), is getting the call to Scranton, which places him one step closer to a major league callup (though he's probably still behind Steven White, and possibly Jeff Marquez). He could be useful out of the bullpen this season if they choose to move him there. Eric Hacker (0.86 ERA in 42 innings) and Alfredo Aceves (2.11 ERA in 47 innings) are both moving up from Tampa to Trenton, as they have both shown that they are more than capable of handling high-A ball. While neither of these two are major prospects, it'll be interesting to see how they fare against higher level competition. Update:  Chad  Jennings, who spoke with Mark Newman recently, is reporting that McCutchen has in fact not been promoted to Scranton.  No word on what this means for Aceves and Hacker.  I'm inclined to trust Chad over George King and the Post, so I believe that this is likely the truth.
