- Jeff Marquez got the start, allowing 6 runs (3 earned) on 9 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings of work, striking out 2 in the process. One aspect that is encouraging is that his sinker seemed to be working beautifully, garnering a 14-2 groundout-flyout ratio.
- Chris Britton pitched a scoreless inning of relief.
- Eic Duncan was 0 for 5.
- Rehabbing Wilson Betemit was 1 for 4 with a walk.
- Brett Gardner, batting cleanup, was 2 for 3 with a walk and his 15th stolen base of the season.
- Jason Lane was 2 for 5 with a double.
- JD Closser was 2 for 4.
- Alfredo Aceves got the start and was ballin'. In 9 shutout innings, Aceves scattered 4 singles and walked none while striking out 6. He also had a 13-8 groundout-flyout ratio.
- Austin Jackson was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk.
- Colin Curtis, Jose Tabata, Ramiro Pena, and PJ Pilittere were 0 for 4.
- Edwar Gonzalez was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and a RBI.
- Kevin Russo was 1 for 2 with a walk.
- Chris Malec was 0 for 3.
- Cody Ehlers was 1 for 4.
- Ivan Nova got the start and allowed 1 run on 5 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings of work. He also had 7 strikeouts and a 7-3 groundout-flyout ratio.
- Kevin Whelan allowed a 1 run on a hit and a walk in 1 1/3 innings of relief, striking out a batter in the process.
- Josh Schimdt walked a batter and struck out 2 in a shutout inning.
- Damon Sublett was 1 for 3 with a walk.
- Mitch Hilligross was 0 for 2 with a walk.
- James Cooper and Andres Perez were 1 for 4.
- Jose Gil was 0 for 4.
- Kyle Anson, Kevin Smith, and Luis Nunez were 0 for 3.
- Seth Fortenberry was 0 for 1.
- Tim Battle was 1 for 2 with a double.
- Zachary McAllister got the start and allowed 9 runs (4 earned) on 9 hits and a walk in 5 1/3 innings of work, striking out 4 in the process. Although the numbers look ugly, he didn't pitch as badly as the numbers indicate. Shoddy defense by Brandon Laird (2 errors) led to many of the runs. If Brandon doesn't commit the errors, from my estimation, ZM probably allows 2 runs in that same span.
- Craig Heyer allowed a hit in 2 2/3 innings of relief, while striking out 3. However, the hit he allowed happened to be a bases clearing triple allowing 3 inherited runners to score.
- Austin Krum was 0 for 3.
- Justin Snyder was 2 for 5 with a double.
- Brandon Laird was 0 for 5 with 3 strikeouts.
- Austin Romine, dhing, was 1 for 3.
- Carmen Angelini was 0 for 4.
- Brian Baisley and Taylor Holiday were 1 for 4.
- Walter Ibarra was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles.
- Braedyn Pruitt was 2 for 3 with a walk.
