- Danny McCutchen made his first start at the Triple A level and allowed 4 runs on 10 hits in 6 1/3 innings of work. He also had 4 strikeouts and a 6-8 groundout to compliment his outing.
- David Robertson allowed a hit and a walk in his 1 2/3 innings of relief, striking out 2 in the process.
- Scott Patterson allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in his inning of work.
- Rehabbing Wilson Betemit was 2 for 4 with a homerun.
- Brett Gardner, batting cleanup, was 0 for 3 with a walk.
- Jason Lane, Eric Duncan, Cody Ransom were 1 for 4 with a double a piece. It is also worthy of note that Lane played first base once again, meaning the end of the Morgan Ensberg experiment might be near.
- George Kontos got the start and was masterful. In 7 innings of work, Kontos allowed 2 runs on 2 hits and a walk, striking out 2 in the process.
- Mark Melancon struck out 2 in 2 perfect innings of relief. Tell me, did any of you think that the TJ guys would be so good so early in the season? Is Mark a better option than Kyle Farnsworth right now? What about J.B.? Hmmm...
- Austin Jackson was 2 for 5 with a double and a walk, raising his average to .283 on the season.
- Colin Curtis was 2 for 6.
- Edwar Gonzalez was 2 for 5 with a double and a homerun.
- Jose Tabata was 3 for 4 with a walk and a stolen base. He average is creeping up, now .236 for the season.
- Chris Malec and Kevin Russo were 3 for 5.
- Cody Ehlers was 1 for 3.
- Ryan Pope got the start and allowed 3 runs on 7 hits in 3 innings of work. He also had 3 strikeouts in the game. I have no idea why Ryan was pulled so early.
- Philip Bartleski followed with 2 shutout innings, allowing 2 hits while striking out 4.
- Jose Valdez struck out a batter in an inning of relief.
- Damon Sublett was 0 for 5.
- Mitch Hilligross, Luis Nunez, Kevin Smith, and Tim Battle picked up a hit in their respective at-bats. Tim's hit happened to be a triple.
- Seth Fortenberry was 0 for 4.
- Kyle Anson was 0 for 3 with a walk.
- James Cooper was 0 for 1 with 3 walks.
- Andres Perez was 2 for 4.
- Jason Stephens got the start and allowed 2 runs on 6 hits and 2 walks, striking out 3 in the process. Jason opposed San Francisco pitching prospect Madison Bumgarner, who pitched 6 2/3 innings of shutout ball.
- Jesse Hoover allowed 2 runs on 3 hits and 2 walks in 1 2/3 innings of work.
- Austin Krum, Justin Snyder, Walter Ibarra, and Brandon Laird were 0 for 4.
- Jesus Montero, catching, and Taylor Holiday were 2 for 3. Taylor also drew a walk.
- Austin Romine, dhing, and Carmen Angelini were 1 for 4.
