Scranton beats Charlotte, 5 to 1.
  • Steve White was effective, if a bit wild, pitching 6 2/3 innings without allowing a run. Charlotte managed just 3 hits against him, and struck out 3 times. Take out White's 6 run, 4 inning second start of the season and he has an ERA of 1.50 in 36 innings. He's got to be at least being discussed internally as an alternative to Kei Igawa.
  • Billy Traber gave up a run in an inning plus.
  • Scott Patterson pitched a scoreless inning, although he allowed 2 singles.
  • Brett Gardner was 1 for 3 with a walk and a double.
  • Eric Duncan was 1 for 4.

  • Justin Christian was 0 for 3 with a walk.
Trenton shuts out Erie 6 to 0 in a rain-shorted, 5 1/2 inning game.
  • Phil Coke had the complete game shutout, striking out 7 and not walking a batter. Coke has 32 strikeouts over his last 25 innings. Maybe we've got a lefty relief candidate down the line?
  • Austin Jackson was 1 for 2 with a walk and a triple.
  • Colin Curtis was 1 for 2 with a sacrifice fly.
  • P.J. Pilittere was 1 for 3.
  • Jose Tabata was 1 for 3.
Tampa beats Brevard County, 2 to 1.
  • Ryan Pope started the game, pitching 6 scoreless innings. He walked none and struck out 6. Despite the word that his mechanics were bad and velocity down, he hasn't allowed a run or walk in 10 innings.
  • Mitch Hilligoss was 1 for 4 with a double.
  • Kyle Anson was 1 for 3.
  • Damon Sublett, Eduardo Nunez, and Seth Fortenberry were all 0-for. Fortenberry drew a walk.
