Brian Cashman was interviewed on WFAN today by Mike Francesca and Chris Russo, and had some interesting things to say about the organization's attitude toward the young pitching. Despite the infuriating badgering of Russo and Francesca, who criticize GM's today for "babying" pitchers and think that Joba Chamberlain should stay in the bullpen (Discounting his 80 minor league innings as a starter, and referring repeatedly to Papelbon), Cashman keeps his cool and says pretty much what I hoped he would say. He refers to the importance of taking care of young arms and holding them to innings limits. He also revealed that the final 2 demands for Santana from the Twins were either Hughes, Melky and 2 prospects or Kennedy, Wang, Melky and a prospect. Despite Francesca and Russo's idiocy, it was an interesting listen.
