- Alfredo Aceves got the start, but only went 3 innings (65 pitches). In those 3 innings, he gave up 2 runs on 3 hits and 2 walks, with 6 strikeouts. I guess they are working him back slowly since his injury, because he hasn't gone more than 4 innings in his last 4 starts.
- Steven White pitched 3 shutout innings, allowing a hit and a walk.
- JB Cox got the win, striking out 2 in a perfect 7th.
- Brian Bruney gave up an unearned run on a walk.
- Scott Strickland got the save, giving up a hit and striking out 1.
- Matt Carson and Juan Miranda were 0 for 3 with a walk.
- Cody Ransom was 1 for 3 with his 18th home run. He's not much of a prospect, probably more of a AAAA guy, but 18 homers from a guy who can play the middle infield (albeit, I have no idea how well) is pretty impressive.
- Chris Stewart was 1 for 3 with a double.
- Greg Porter was 2 for 3 with a double.
- Jason Jones had a rare bad start, giving up 6 runs on 10 hits and 4 walks in 4 innings of work. This brought his ERA up to 2.67, indicating how good he has been this season.
- Kevin Whelan was back from injury, striking out 1 and walking 1 in a scoreless inning of relief.
- Reegie Corona was 0 for 3 with 2 walks.
- Ramiro Pena was 2 for 5.
- Austin Jackson was 2 for 4 with a walk, bringing his average to .297. Dude's hitting and even .400 in July.
- Chris Malec was 1 for 3.
- Edwar Gonzalez was 1 for 4 with a homer.
- Seth Cooper was 1 for 3.
- Michael Dunn started, giving up 2 runs (1 earned) on 5 hits and a walk in 4 innings of work.
- Phil Bartelski pitched 2 perfect innings of relief.

- Luis Nunez and Seth Fortenberry were each 1 for 3.
- Eduardao Nunez and Josh Kreuzer were 1 for 2 with a walk.
- Andres Perez wasa 1 for 3 with a 3-run homer.
- Kyle Anson was 1 for 2.
- Jason Stephens was terrible in 2 innings of work, surrendering 7 runs on 7 hits and 4 walks.
- 2b Chris Kunda struck out 1 in a perfect inning of relief, the best performance of any Tampa pitcher in this game.
- Luis Nunez and Tom Baldridge were each 1 for 3.
- Eduardo Nunez was 1 for 3 with a home run.
- Mitch Hilligoss was 1 for witha solo homer.
- Lance Pendleton was mediocre, giving up 5 runs on 8 hits and a walk in 5 innings of work, while striking out 4.
- Austin Krum, replacing Abe Almonte (who was given a much-needed day off) in the leadoff spot, was 1 for 5.
- Brad Suttle was 3 for 4 with a walk to raise his average to .289.
- Austin Romine was 1 for 5.
- Jesus Montero was 2 for 5 with 2 strikeouts, and his average rose to .312.
- Brandon Laird was 4 for 5 with a double and his 12th home run, and his average moved to a respectable .265.
- Justin Snyder and Carmen Angelini were each 1 for 5.
- Taylor Holiday was 2 for 4.
- David Phelps started, going 6 scoreless and striking out 4 while allowing 5 hits.
- Pat Venditte struck out 2 in a perfect 9th to get the save.
- The top 5 hitters in the order were a combined 0 for 19.
- Braedyn Pruitt and Melky Mesa were each 1 for 3.
- Addison Maruszak had the only other hit, going 1 for 4 with an RBI single that drove in the game's only run.

- Jose Pirela was 0 for 5.
- Corban Joseph was 0 for 4 with a walk.
- Jimmy Paredes and Chad Gross were each 0 for 3 with a walk.
