- Kei Igawa started, and pitched pretty well. In 7 innings, the Japanese lefty gave up 3 runs on 4 hits and 2 walks, while striking out 3. His ERA on the season is 3.80, not bad, but much higher than you would expect from a guy who was a great pitcher in Japan.
- Chris Britton gave up a run on 2 hits in 1/3 of an inning.
- After combining for 6 extra-base hits yesterday, Alberto Gonzalez and Eric Duncan were hitless.
- Matt Carson was 2 for 4 with a double.
- Juan Miranda was 0 for 4 with 2 strikeouts.
- Cody Ransom was 1 for 3 with his 17th homer of the season and a walk.
- Ben Broussard was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk.
- Chris Stewart was 3 for 4 with a double and a steal of 3rd.
- George Kontos got the start, and struggled with his control. In 3 innings, the big righty from Northwestern gave up 5 runs (4 earned) on 5 hits and 5 walks, while striking out 3.
- Anthony Clagget was the winner despite not pitching well, allowing a run on 3 hits and 3 walks with 1 strikeout.
- Reegie Corona was 2 for 5 with a walk.
- Ramiro Pena was 1 for 5 with a throwing error.
- Austin Jackson was 1 for 4 with a walk to fall to .295.
- Chris Malec and Colin Curtis were each 2 for 5.
- PJ Pilittere ws 2 for 5 with a double.
- Cody Ehlers was 2 for 3 with 2 walks.
- Edwar Gonzalez was 1 for 5 with a double.
- Seth Cooper was 1 for 4 with a walk.
- Jairo Heredia started, giving up 4 runs on 7 hits and 3 walks in 5 inning, and striking out 5. While he didn't pitch his best, he still has a 2.96 ERA, very impressive for an 18 year-old in full-season ball.
- Austin Krum was 2 for 5 with a double.
- Brad Suttle was 0 for 3 with 2 walks.
- Austin Romine was 0 for 5.
- Jesus Montero continued to hit, going 3 for 4 with a walk to raise his average up to .311. He also threw out the only runner attempting to steal on him. Jesus is on fire, going 16 for his last 36, and hitting .355 in the month of July with an .953 OPS.
- Brandon Laird was 1 for 5 with a double.
- Justin Snyder was 3 for 5 with his 4th home run of the season.
- Carmen Angelini was 2 for 5 with a homer to raise his average to .245.
- Dave Williams was 1 for 5.
- Taylor Holiday was 1 for 3.
- Brandon Braboy was great, giving up an unearned run on 2 hits and a walk in 5 innings of work, striking out 5.
- Pat Venditte struggled, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits in 2/3 of an inning to raise his ERA to 2.02.
- Raymond Kruml was 1 for 5 with a double.
- Brian Baisley was 1 for 3 with a walk, lowering his average to .365.
- Braedyn Pruitt and Mitch Abeita were each 2 for 4.
- Addison Maruszak was 1 for 4 with a double.
- Chris Garcia, making a rehab start from his latest injury, gave up 2 runs on 5 hits in 1 2/3 innings, while striking out 2.
- Arodys Vizcaino gave up 4 runs on 7 hits and 1 walk in 3 innings, and striking out 3.
- Jose Pirela was 3 for 5 to raise his average to .263 on the season.
- Corban Joseph was 3 for 4 to raise his average to .271.
- Jimmy Paredes was also 3 for 4, raising his average to .318 after going 8 for 9 in his last 2 games.
- Neall French was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He is hitting .325.
- Mitchell Delaney and Francisco Arcia were each 1 for 4. Arcia had a rough day behind the plate, as all 6 attempted basestealers were safe. No worries at this point, especially since at low levels a lot of bases are stolen off the pitcher.
