Scranton defeats Lehigh Valley, 6-4
  • Ross Ohlendorf started, and pitched fairly well.  In 4 1/3 innings, Ohlendorf gave up 2 runs on 6 hits and a walk, while striking out 5 and maintaining a 5:2 GO/AO ratio.
  • Chris Britton got the win, pitching 2 1/3 shutout innings, allowing 2 hits and striking out 2.
  • JB Cox gave up 2 runs on a hit and 2 walks in 1 inning of work.
  • Scott Strickland struck out 2 in an inning of 1-hit shutout relief.
  • Alberto Gonzalez was 1 for 5.
  • Chris Basak was 1 for 4 with a double.
  • Juan Miranda was 1 for 3 with his 7th home run and a walk.  He's sitting at a cool .301 batting average.
  • Jason Lane was 2 for 4 with a double and a homer, his 15th.
  • Chris Stewart was 2 for 4.

Trenton's game against Portland was postponed. Tampa falls to Jupiter, 10-5 (completion of suspended game)
  • Before the suspension, Jason Stephens allowed a run on 2 hits.
  • Grant Duff was rocked, allowing 7 runs (6 earned) on 9 hits and a walk in 3 1/3 innings, while striking out 6.
  • Luis Nunez was 2 for 5 with a double.
  • Kevin Smith was 1 for 4 with a 2-run homer.
  •  Seth Fortenberry was 1 for 4 with his 6th omer.
  • Andres Perez and Mitch Hilligoss were each 2 for 4 with a double.

Tampa tops Jupiter, 3-2 (7 innings)
  •  Ryan Pope started, and pitched the whole game.  In 7 innings of work, the righty from Savannah College of Art and Design allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 8 and walking none.  This brought his ERA to 2.35 on the season.
  • Luis Nunez was 1 for 4.
  • Eduardo Nunez was 1 for 3.
  • Josh Kreuzer was 1 for 2 with a walk.
  • Andres Perez was 1 for 2 with a double.
  • Tom Baldridge was 1 for 3.
Charleston over Kannapolis, 4-2
  • Wilkins de la Rosa continued to excel as a starter, striking out 7 in 6 innings of 2-run ball, and allowing 7 hits and 1 walk.  In his last 4 outings (23 1/3 innings), de la Rosa has allowed 4 runs on 14 hits and 5 walks, and has struck out 26.  Very impressive stuff from this intriguing lefty.
  • Stephen Artz and Jonathan Ortiz combined for 3 perfect innings in relief.
  • Abe Almonte continued to struggle, going 0 for 4 with a walk and 2 strikeouts.
  • Brad Suttle was 1 for 5.
  • Austin Romine was 0 for 5 to drop his average to .269.
  • Jesus Montero was 2 for 5 to raise his average to .296.
  • Brandon Laird was 1 for 3 with a walk.
  • Justin Snyder was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, bringing his average up to .284
  • Carmen Angelini was 2 for 4.
  • Dave Williams was 1 for 4.
Staten Island beats Batavia, 3-2
  • Nick Montgomery started, and pitched well, allowing a run on 4 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings, while striking out 4.
  • Brad Rulon struck out 4 and walked 1 in 2 shutout innings of relief, lowering his ERA to 0.45 and earning a win.
  •  Raymond Kruml and David Adams were each 1 for 4.  Adams' hit was a triple.
  • Brian Baisley was 4 for 4 with a homer, bringing his average up to .379.
  • Addison Maruszak was 1 for 3 to hold steady at .333.
  • Jack Rye was 1 for 1, and drove in the winning run with a pinch-hit single.
GCL Yanks fluster the Phillies, 3-0
  • Manny Barreda started, and was very effective.  In 4 shutout innings, Barreda gave up 3 hits and struck out 4, lowering his ERA to 2.25.
  • Shawn Joy and Ryan Flannery combined for 5 strikeouts in 2 perfect innings.
  • Jose Pirela was 2 for 5 to raise his average to .244.
  • Corban Joseph was 0 for 5.
  • Jimmy Paredes was 1 for 4 with a double and his 10th error.
  • Zoilo Almonte was 2 for 4.
  • Francisco Arcia was 1 for 3.
