- Victor Zambrano got the start, and looked very impressive through 5 scoreless innings. The oft-injured righty gave up just 4 hits and a walk while striking out 5. This may be premature, but I wonder if the Yankee brass is considering him for that last rotation spot if they think Hughes is not ready.
- Reegie Corona was 2 for 5 with 2 strikeouts.
- Francisco Cervelli was 1 for 4, dropping his average to .378.
- Austin Jackson was 1 for 4 with a walk and a strikeout, and is hitting .289 on the season.
- Chris Malec was 3 for 5
- Colin Curtis was 1 for 5.
- Edwar Gonzalez and Kevin Russo were each 2 for 4. Gonzalez hit his 14th homer of the season.
- Seth Cooper was 1 for 4 with a walk.
- Adam Olbrychowski started, and his control problems returned. In 5 innings, Adam O. gave up 4 runs (3 earned) on 5 walks and 5 hits, while striking out 6.
- Angel Reyes gave up a hit and struck out 2 in a scoreless inning of relief.
- Austin Krum and Austin Romine were each 1 for 4.
- Brad Suttle was 0 for 4, dropping his average to .271.
- Jesus Montero was 2 for 4 with a triple. Yes, that is not a typo. To be fair to Montero's lack of speed, the centerfielder missed the ball and injured his shoulder, so it was by no means a display of speed on Montero's part.
- Justin Snyder, playing 1st, and Dave Williams were each 2 for 4.
- Prilys Cuello was 1 for 3 with an error.
- Humberto Sanchez, undergoing rehab #2, struck out 1 and allowed a hit in 1 scoreless inning of work.
- Manny Banuelos put together another sensational outing, giving up just 1 hit in 6 shutout innings, and striking out 6. He also did a great job keeping the ball on the ground, with 10 groundouts against 2 flyouts. The lefty from Monterrey, Mexico, who won't turn 18 until next March, has a 2.31 ERA on the season, with 35 strikeouts against 11 walks
- Corban Joseph was 2 or 3 to raise his average to .291. He was also caught stealing for the 5th time, against only 2 successful attempts.
- Kyle Higashioka was 0 for 2 with a walk.
- Zoilo Almonte was 1 for 3.
- Alvaro Ramirez was 1 for 1 with a walk and a steal.
- Arodys Vizcaino started, and continued to pitch solidly. In 5 innings, the 17 year-old from the DR gave up 2 runs on 2 hits and 3 walks, while striking out 4. His ERA on the season sits at 3.64.
- Emerson Landoni and Spencer Lucian were each 2 for 3.
- Corban Joseph was 1 for 3.
- Jimmy Paredes was 0 for 2 to drop his average to .289. He also stole a base.
