  • Hideki Matsui was 1 for 3 with a walk.  He's old for the leageu at 34, but I think he's a legitimate prospect.  He should be a solid 4th outfielder in the bigs if all goes well for him.

Charleston chases Lakewood, 4-3
  • Dellin Betances continued his recent run of effective pitching, giving up 2 runs on 3 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings, and striking out 12.  Since returning from injury on July 4, Betances has been phenomenal.  Dellin has struck out 62 against 18 walks in 49 1/3 innings, with a 2.74 ERA since coming back from injury, and he seems to have his good stuff working now.  While he's only in low-A, the improvement in control as well as the high strikeout rate are very encouraging for the future of this 20-year old.
