According to Mike Francesa on WFAN, the Yankees just sent down Melky Cabrera and waived Richie Sexson. Taking their place is Brett Gardner and Cody Ransom. This move can only help the Yankees. Cabrera gave us nothing at all, and Richie was a waist of a precious roster spot (never knew why he was on the team in the first place). In fact, I bet Jesus Montero would have given us better offensive production, but whatever. Let's just hope this all works out.
