Scranton had the night off

Darell Rasner, boasting a 4-0 record and a 0.87 ERA for the SWB club, was called up and inserted into the Yankees starting rotation as a result of an oblique injury to Phil Hughes, who was placed on the 15 day DL.

Trenton loses to Connecticut, 3-2

George Kontos got the start and was solid. In 5 1/3 innings, he gave up 2 runs on 3 hits and 4 walks, but he did have 7 strikeouts.
J.B. Cox struck out 1 in an inning of relief.
Colin Curtis was 1 for 3 with a walk.
Austin Jackson was 0 for 3 with a walk.
PJ Pilittere was 1 for 4.
Matt Carson was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and a RBI.

Tampa loses to Sarasota, 3-1

Eric Hacker got the start and was efficient. In 7 innings, he gave up 1 run on 6 hits and 3 walks, while notching 2 strikeouts.
Damon Sublett and Edwar Gonzalez each went hitless in their at-bats.
Eduardo Nunez, Seth Fortenberry, Mitch Hilligross, Kyle Anson, Kevin Smith, Josue Calzado, and James Cooper each had a hit in yesterday's contest. Cooper had a double, the only XBH for the team.

Charleston loses to Augusta, 2-1

Dellin Betances got the start and was solid. In 5 innings, Dellin gave up 2 runs on 3 hits and 3 walks, while striking out 6 in the process. His groundout:flyout ratio was 5:3. His ERA now stands at 2.59.
Wilkins De La Rosa allowed 2 hits and a walk in his 2 1/3 innings of shutout relief. He notched 3 strikeouts in the process. His ERA now stands at 1.15.
Abe Almonte was 0 for 5.
Justin Snyder was 2 for 4 with a double and a walk.
Jesus Montero was 2 for 5 with a double, but he did commit a fielding error, his 3rd error on the season.
Dave Williams was 1 for 5 with a RBI.
Brandon Laird was 0 for 3 with a walk.
Taylor Holiday was 1 for 3 with a walk.
Walter Ibarra was 1 for 3 with a walk.
