- Steven White started and was brilliant. In 6 innings, he allowed a single run on 4 hits, and 3 walks, striking out 7 in the process. He threw 99 pitches, 58 for strikes, and he also had a 6-5 GBO-FBO ratio.
- Sean Henn struck out one in his one inning of shutout relief. Despite all the struggles he had last year with the big league club, I would still take him over Billy Traber anyday.
- Jose Veras notched his 7th save although it did not come easy. He allowed a hit and a walk before closing out the game. Nonetheless, he was able to get out of the jam, and was able to lower his ERA to 1.64 on the season.
- Eric Duncan was 1 for 2 with a walk, raising his average to .250. It's creeping up gradually, but he's getting there.
- Juan Miranda was 2 for 4 with a double and a RBI.
- Jason Lane was hitless in his 4 ABs.
- Brett Gardner was 1 for 3 with a walk.
- Dan McCutchen got the start, and he was absolutely filthy. He 7 innings, he allowed a run on a hit and a walk. That was great no doubt, but what was trully amazing was that McCutch was able struck out 12 batters in the process. Oh yeah, he also had a 7-3 GBO-FBO ratio. He was able to lower his ERA to 1.42 on the season. I honestly can't see how he can make another start at Trenton as he's been absolutely dominating Double-A hitting. Hopefully, the Yankees will promote him to Scranton ASAP.
- Josh Schimdt allowed 2 runs on 3 hits and 2 walks in 2 innings.
- Colin Curtis was 0 for 2 with a walk.
- Austin Jackson was 1 for 4 with a walk.
- Ramiro Pena and Matt Carson each were 2 for 5 with a double and a RBI.
- Jose Tabata was 0 for 3 with a walk and a RBI. JT is batting a dreadful .207.
- P.J. Pilittere and Chris Malec each were 2 for 4. P.J. is now batting .323.
- Mike Dunn got the start and was solid, allowing 2 runs (1 earned) in 6 innings. He walked 4 and struck out 3. His GBO-FBO ratio was 10-4, and he lowered his ERA to 2.59 on the season.
- Mark Melancon struck out 2 in his 2 shutout innings of one hit ball.
- Eduardo Nunez, Edwar Gonzalez, and Josue Calzado each were 0 for 4.
- James Cooper was 2 for 4 with a double.
- Kyle Anson was 1 for 3 with a walk and a RBI.
- Kevin Smith was 1 for 4 with double.
- Lance Pendleton started, allowing just 2 runs (1 earned) on 4 hits and a walk in 3 innings. He struck out 2 as well.
- Wilkins De La Rosa allowed no runs on 2 hits and 2 walks in 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief. Oh yeah, he also had 3 strikeouts.
- Abe Almonte, Brad Suttle, Brandon Laird, and Carmen Angelini all were hitless in today's contest.
- Justin Snyder, Jesus Montero, Wady Rufino and David Williams all were 1 for 4. Montero also wasn't able to throw out 3 baserunners. Snyder committed his 11th error (fielding) of the season.
- Austin Krum was 2 for 2 with a double, a RBI, and a walk.
