SI Yanks beaten by Brooklyn, 8-4.  They trail 1-0 in the best of 3 series.
  • Ryan Pope started, giving up 4 runs on 4 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings, with 4 strikeouts.  Pope, who has been SI's best started this year, was unable to hold a 4-2 lead in the 6th inning, allowing the Cyclones to tie the game.
  • Ryan Zink allowed 2 runs (1 earned) in 2 1/3 innings, while surrendering 3 hits and 2 walks.
  • Jonathan Ortiz gave up 2 hits, a walk, and 2 unearned runs in 1/3.   Ortiz combined with Zink and Jason Kiley to surrender 4 runs in the 9th to hand victory to the Cyclones.
  • Justin Snyder did his usual thing, going 2 for 4 with a walk.
  • Taylor Holiday and Damon Sublett were 0 for 4.  Holiday made a crucial throwing error that led to the unearned runs.
  • Braedyn Pruitt and Chris Raber were 1 for 4.
  • Jose Gil and Austin Krum were each 1 for 4 with a double.
  • Matt Morris was 1 for 4 with a 2-run home run.
Trenton begins its best of 5 series against the Akron Aeros (Cleveland's AA affiliate) Monday.
