• George Kontos, coming off dominant 11 strikeout effort his last time out, was not as effective. In 4 1/3 innings of work, Kontos gave up 3 runs on 8 hits and 2 walks, and struck out 3.
• Anthony Claggett pitched 2/3 scoreless innings, striking out 1.
• Austin Jackson was 1 for 4 with a home run, a walk, 2 strikeouts, and a fielding error.
• Brad Suttle was 1 for 4 with a home run, a walk, 2 strikeouts, and was also caught stealing.

• Eric Wordekemper gave up a hit in 1 inning of scoreless relief.
• Brett Gardner was 2 for 5 with 2 singles (1 via the bunt), 2 stolen bases (giving him 7 on the season without getting caught) and a walk.
• Reegie Corona was 1 for 4 with a stolen base and a walk.
