Honolulu falls to West Oahu, 4-3

George Kontos started and took the loss, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits in 5 innings of work, striking out 3 in the process. George's ERA is now 3.71 in Hawaii.
Anthony Claggett gave up a run in 3 solid innings of relief, surrendering 3 hits and striking out 1.
Austin Jackson continued to slump, going 1 for 5 with 2 strikeouts. His average, which was over .300 just a little while ago, is down to .267. To be fair, the sample size is small, but A-Jax is 2 for his last 20. He may be wearing down after a long and productive season.
Speaking of slumps, Brad Suttle broke a 7-game hitless streak by going 1 for 4 with 2 strikeouts. The fact that going 1 for 4 represents a significant improvement illustrates the struggles that Suttle has faced in Hawaii.

Peoria defeated by Phoenix, 13-4

Steven White gave up a run on 3 hits and a walk in 3 innings of relief, lowering his ERA to 6.23.
Brett Gardner was 2 for 4 with a walk, and also threw out a runner at 2nd base. Gardner's average is now up to .333, as he has continued to hit despite showing little to no power.
