Pete Abraham has it. Hughes initially rolled his ankle when he stuck a spike into the grass. It's a freak injury, and really hurts us in two ways. First off, the Yankees now need DeSalvo or Clippard to pitch for them for most of the season instead of Hughes. Clippard could fill the roll, but no doubt Hughes could do better. Second, it interupts Phil's long term development plan. There is no way that he gets the planned 180 innings in this year. If I'm Steve White, I start to think about the 5th starter job.
