Not a whole lot went on today, and I'm gearing up for the draft, so I'm going to do this real quickly.
  • Not a lot happened in Scranton today. Andy Phillips was 3 for 3 with a home run and Eric Duncan did not have a hit.
  • In Trenton, Jeff Marquez gave up 4 runs in 6 innings, but did not walk a batter while striking out 7. He got only 2 of 11 outs on the ground. Something is wrong with Marquez, but at least it's not his control. P.J. Pilittere continued his hot play with two hits, and Cody Ehlers was 1 for 3 with a walk.
  • Lots of action in Tampa today. Tampa scored 8 runs and allowed 3. Curtis and Miranda continued their hot streaks with two singles each, and Corona added two as well. Cervelli was 1 for 4 with a walk and a double, and Vechionacci was 3 for 5. Phil Coke returned with his first start since early April, allowing one run in 7 innings on 2 walks and 5 strikeouts.
  • In Charleston, Seth Forthberry was 2 for 3 with a walk and a home run. Alberto Jackson was 3 for 6 with a stolen base and two doubles. Hilligoss had one hit, and Mike Dunn gave up 3 earned runs in 5 innings with the start. The biggest story of the day in Charleston might be Ferdin Tejada, who struck out two in two perfect innings. Tejada, with a little luck, has big time bullpen arm written all over him.
Sorry for the quickness, but tomorrow is going to be a long day.
