Trenton at Harrisburg, Trenton won 8-4.
  • Brett Gardner went 1-5 with a walk, a run scored, and a strike out.
  • Juan Miranda played 1B, and went 2-5 with 2 runs scored and one RBI.
  • Colin Curtis went 3-4 with a HR, a walk, 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs.
  • Brett Smith had a wild day, lasting only 3.2 innings while giving up 3 hits, 3 runs, and 6 walks while striking out 4.
Tampa vs Dunedin, Tampa falls 5-6.
  • Austin Jackson continued his hot start in a grand way, going 4-5 with a HR, 2 runs scored, one RBI, and one strike out. He is now hitting .426 in the FSL, and has hit safely in 16 of 17 games since being promoted.
  • Jose Tabata was 3-5 with a double and a run scored.
  • Marcos Vechionacci went 1-5 with a strike out.
  • Tim Battle DHed, and went 2-4 with a triple, a walk, a run scored and two K.
  • Francisco Cervelli went 1-4 with a HR, two RBI, a run scored, a walk, and two K.
  • Phil Hughes pitched two innings, walked two and struck out three, and gave up one unearned run.
  • George Kontos earned the loss, giving up 7 hits (including two HR) and 5 runs while walking three and striking out one in relief of Hughes.
  • Zach Kroenke pitched one scoreless inning while walking one.
  • David Robertson pitched two innings, gave up a hit and a walk while striking out one. He gave up Robertson runs (for those new to Pending Pinstripes, that means zero, okay?).

  • Holiday went 3-4 with 2 runs scored and a K.

  • David Williams, Donald Hollingsworth, Justin Snyder, and Chris Raber each had a hit.
  • Dellin Betances pitched 4 innings, gave up 3 hits and two runs while walking two and striking out 4.
GCL Yankees vs GCL Phillies, Yankees won 7-6.
  • Abraham Almonte went 2-2 with a run scored, RBI, a steal, and 2 walks.
  • Ryan Wehrle went 1-4 with a 2-run HR.
  • Zoilo Almonte was 1-4 with a double and run scored.
  • Melky Mesa went 2-4 with two doubles, 2 runs scored, and 2 K.
  • Ben Blumethal was 2 for 4 with a home run.
  • Ross Ohlendorf had his fourth rehab start wnd went 4.2 innings and gave up 5 hits (including a HR) and 4 runs (3 earned), while striking out 9 and walking one.
Scranton was off today.
