Scranton vs Rochester, Yankees won 3-0.

• Justin Christian went 2-3 with a walk and a run scored. He also struck out once.
• Eric Duncan went 2-3 with a run scored.
• Phil Hughes started, pitching 6.2 shutout innings giving up only three hits and three walks while striking out four in the process.
• Edwar Ramirez pitched to one batter and struck him out.
• Ross Ohlendorf pitched one scoreless inning, giving up a hit and a walk while striking out one.

As someone who lives in Rochester, did I say that I wished the home and visiting teams were switched? Red Wings = 10 minutes drive. Yankees = 10 minutes drive multiplied by 30. But oh well, what matters is that Hughes was dominant. Trenton at Reading, Thunders defeated 2-6.

• Alberto Gonzalez went 1-4 with a double.
• Bronson K Sardinha went 1-4 with a solo-HR and two strikeouts. 
• Juan Miranda went 1-2 with a double.
• Jason Jones earned the loss, pitching 5.0 innings giving up 6 hits and 4 runs (3 earned). He walked one and struck out three.

Staten Island at Tri-City, Yankees defeated 5-10.

• Justin Snyder played CF then switched to 3B, and went 2-4 with a walk and two runs scored.
• Taylor Holiday went 3-5 with a double, a solo-HR, 2 runs scored and a RBI.
• Damon Sublett went 2-4 with a walk, a run scored, two RBIs and a strikeout.
• Braedyn Pruitt went 2-4 with a double, a RBI, a walk and a strikeout.
• Luis Nunez went 2-5 with a double, a RBI and a strikeout.
• Adam Olbrychowski had a rough outing, giving up 5 runs on 3.2 IP. He gave up five hits and four walks, and struck out four.
• Nicholas Chigges earned the loss, giving up a run on 4 hits in 3.1 IP. He struck out four.

Tampa, Charleston, and the GCL Yankees were off.
