Scranton spanks Ottawa, 12-1
  • Steven White continued to pitch well for Scranton, pitching 8 innings and allowing just an unearned run.  White did this on 6 hits and no walks, while striking out 3.  He has gotten his control together of late, and he could have put himself first in line for an emergency start if Kei Igawa falters, or possibly serve as trade bait.
  • Colter Bean (remember him) pitched a perfect 9th, striking out 1 in the process.  Nobody wants to free him and his 6.02 ERA at the moment, and hopefully Edwar will do better in the majors than Bean.
  • Justin Christian was 4 for 6 with 2 triples and a steal, raising his AAA average to .316.  He's been a pest since his promotion, and he could be a good 4th outfielder if Torre ever remembers that he has a bench.
  • Kevin Reese was 3 for 5 with a homer and a walk.
  • Shelley Duncan was 1 for 6 with his 20th homer of the season.
  • Angel Chavez was 2 for 6 with a triple.

  • Omir Santos was 2 for 4 with a double and a walk.
