Pitching prospect Dellin Betances, who I saw struggle through 3 innings yesterday in Staten Island, was pulled because he was feeling stiffness in his elbow.  He wasn't feeling any pain, which is  reassuring, but stiffness is still not a great sign. This might explain why Dellin has struggled (by his lofty standards from the GCL) this season, throwing with a lower velocity on his fastball and strugglin with his control. I assume they will shut him down for a little while and send him to the doctor to see what is wrong, and allow him to get some rest.  Hopefully, it's just tendinitis or soreness, and he will be back on the hill in a few weeks.  However, it is possible he may need surgery, maybe even Tommy John, if there is structural damage.  Let's just hope everything is going to be ok.
