Scranton at Rochester, Yankees defeated 6-7.

Brett Gardner went 0-4 with a walk, a run scored, and a K.
Eric Duncan went 0-3 with a walk, a run scored, and a K.
Matt DeSalvo had a mediocre outing, giving up 5 runs (3 earned) on 7 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings pitched, while striking out 2.
Sean Henn got the loss, giving up 2 runs on 3 hits and a walk in 1.1 IP. He struck out 2.
Edwar Ramirez pitched 0.2 innings, giving up a hit.

Trenton vs Reading, Thunders won 11-4.

Reegie Corona went 1-3 with a double, 2 walks, 2 runs scored and 2 K.
Colin Curtis went 2-4 with 3 runs scored and a walk.
Juan Miranda went 0-2, walked twice and scored 3 runs.
Cody Ehlers went 1-4 with 2 RBIs, a walk and two K.
Alan Horne didn't have his best control, but earned the win pitching 6 innings giving up 3 runs on 6 hits and 5 walks. He struck out 6.

Tampa vs Palm Beach, Yankees defeated 3-7.

Eduardo Nunez went 1-4 with a RBI.
Austin Jackson went 0-3 with a walk, a RBI and a K.
Marcos Vechionacci went 2-4 with 2 doubles, but also made an error.
Brett Smith continued to struggle since demotion, giving up 4 runs on 7 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings pitched. He struck out 2.
Zach Kroenke gave up a run on 2 hits in 2 innings pitched.
David Robertson had a rare wild day, giving up 2 unearned runs in 1.1 innings pitched. He gave up 2 hits and walked 3.

Charleston at Lexington, Riverdogs blanked 0-1.

Mitch Hilligoss went 1-4 with 2 strikeouts.
Ivan Nova was the tough luck loser, giving up a run on 4 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings pitched. He struck out 3.
Stephen Artz continued his perfect streak, pitching two innings striking out 2.

Staten Island vs Jamestown, Yankees won 3-0.

Justin Snyder went 1-3 with a walk, a run scored and a K.
Taylor Holiday went 1-2 with a double, 2 walks and a run scored.
Damon Sublett went 0-3 with a run scored and a RBI.
Braedyn Pruitt went 1-4 with a RBI.
Jason Stephens pitched 6 scoreless innings, giving up just 2 hits and striking out 5.

GCL Yanks beaten by Braves

Lance Pendleton got the start, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits in 2 innings, and striking out 4.
Jairo Heredia had his worst start in some time, giving up 4 runs on 9 hits and 1 walk in 5 innings, and also striking out 4.
Abe Almonte had his best game as a Yankee, going 4 for 4 with 2 home runs, a double and a walk, although he was also caught stealing. He has raised his average to .298 by hitting .478 in August, and he looks like he is starting to show the hitting potential that has gotten everyone excited.
Prilys Cuello and Zoilo Almonte were each 1 for 4.
Brandon Laird was 1 for 4 with his 6th home run.
Wady Rufino was 2 for 4.
Andres Perez was 1 for 2 with 2 walks.

By the way, a huge plasma screen TV + Phil Hughes starting + Joba Chamberlain coming in for relief + Yankees win is a bad combination at work, because I can't stop having a queer smile on the whole time, causing my boss to become very suspicious of me.
