Yankee Minors Recap: 8/6

Scranton vs Buffalo, Yankees won 6-4.

Brett Gardner went 1-4 with a run scored and 2 K.
Justin Christian went 1-3 with a run scored and a walk.
Eric Duncan DHed and went 1-3 with a RBI.
Kei Igawa pitched six innings, giving up 4 runs on 5 hits and a walk. He struck out eight, but also gave up a HR.
Sean Henn pitched one scoreless inning, giving up a hit while striking out two.
Edwar Ramirez is getting farther and farther from promotion, as he failed to record a perfect outing again. In two hitless innings, he dared to walk a batter. Not to mention, he only struck three.

Trenton vs Bowie, Thunders shut out 0-2.

Reegie Corona went 1-4 with a walk and two K.
Bronson Sardinha DHed and went 2-4.
Cody Ehlers went 1-3 with a walk.
Omir Santos went 2-4.
Daniel McCutchen earned the loss, pitched 5 innings of one run ball. He gave up 4 hits and a walk while striking out 4.
Kevin Whelan pitched two innings and gave up a run on a solo HR. He walked two and struck out three.

Tampa at Brevard County, Yankees won 3-1.

Eduardo Nunez went 2-5 with a K.
Austin Jackson went 1-5 with a double and 2 K.
Jose Tabata went 1-2 with a walk.
Marcos Vechionacci went 1-4 with a K.
Tim Battle went 1-4 with a K.
Anthony Claggett earned the win, pitching 5.2 innings while giving up one unearned run on 5 hits and 2 walks. He struck out five.

Charleston vs Greensboro, Riverdogs won 7-4.

Mitch Hilligoss went 1-5 with a RBI and 2 K.
Eric Hacker earned the win, pitching 5 innings of one-run ball. He gave up 4 hits and a walk while striking out 4.
Ferdin Tejeda had a rough outing, giving up 3 runs on 4 hits and a walk in two innings pitched. He struck out one.
Jesse Hoover earned the save, pitching two hitless innings. He walked two and struck out 4.

Staten Island vs Hudson Valley, Yankees won 5-4.

Justin Snyder went 2-4 (including a 9th inning, game tying solo-HR) with 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored. He walked once and struck out once.
Taylor Holiday went 2-4 with a double, a walk, a run scored and a K.
Damon Sublett went 1-4 with a walk and a run scored.
Braedyn Pruitt went 1-3 with a double, a RBI, a walk and a K.

Could someone remind me of the last time I wrote the recaps and Snyder did not get a hit, because I honestly can't remember. GCL Yankees vs GCL Blue Jays, the Yankees won 8-5.

Abraham Almonte went 1-4 with a run scored.
Prilys Cuello DHed and went 2-2 with a double, a 2-run HR, and a walk.
Zoilo Almonte went 2-5 with a run, a RBI and 2 K.
Brandon Laird went 2=5 with a double and triple, 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored.
Jesus Montero went 2-3 with 2 RBIs, a run scored, and 2 walks.

Today was another good day for Yankee fans. The daddies won, majority of the sons won, all pitched well, and best of all Joba Chamberlain was promoted to the Bronx...this time NOT jumping the gun. Oh, and lastly, for those who missed the note, I like Edwar very much.
