In light of the 2-time Cy Young Award winner's recent comments that he is frustrated with the Twin's penny-pinching ways, some readers have started coming up with potential trades for the Twins' ace.  Assuming Santana is on the trade block either in the off-season or mid-season next year, what would you offer for him?  I'm curious what you guys think is fair value for him. I'm assuming that he won't sign an extension with the Twins, but if acquired in a trade, he could be persuaded to ink a big extension to prevent him from hitting the free agent market (he is not a Boras client after all).  I imagine that Minnesota will try to trade him because of the potential huge haul of prospects and young, cheap major leaguers, but if they're in contention next season, they might want to hold on to him. It's worth considering that the Yankees would probably be front-runners to sign Santana if he hit the free-agent market, and that the 2008 free agent class could be a strong one, with CC Sabathia and Jake Peavy possibly available.  Some trading chips that might interest the Twins could include young, cheap players such as Robinson Canó, Melky Cabrera, Phil Hughes, Joba Chamberlain, Ian Kennedy, José Tabata, or Austin Jackson.
