Congratulations to Zach McAllister and Justin Snyder of Staten Island, who were both named to the AL affiliates All-Star team. Snyder has been a force from the leadoff spot this season, hitting .388 with a 1.067 OPS to drive the Yankee offense.  He has also been valuable because of his ability to play a multitude of positions, including 2nd base, 3rd base, shortstop, and centerfield. McAllister, despite being among the youngest players in the league, is 3-2 with a 2.78 ERA in 45 1/3 innings, with 51 strikeouts against 15 walks, and a groundout/flyout ratio of 2.  He has overshadowed the more heralded Dellin Betances, and seems to have taken well to his conversion to a power pitcher. Braedyn Pruitt, despite hitting over .400, did not make the team because he missed time due to injury.  Damon Sublett, who has been hot recently, probably should have been chosen instead of Mahoning Valley's Jansy Infante.  Ryan Pope would have been in consideration if he did not sign late, as his numbers have been very good. It's great to see Snyder and McAllister honored for their great performance, and hopefully, they'll help drive the Yankees to another New York-Penn League title.
