09 August 2007
- Steven White was solid as usual, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings, and striking out 5.
- Edwar Ramirez was his usual self, striking out 2 and allowing 1 hit in a shutout inning of relief. According to the New York Times, Edwar will be back with the Yankees as soon as Friday, which makes sense given his dominant pitching.
- Brett Gardner was 1 for 4.
- Kevin Reese and Bronson Sardinha were each 2 for 3, Sardinha had a double and a walk.
- Erubiel Durazo was 1 for 4.
- Alberto Gonzalez was 1 for 2 with a walk.
- Eric Duncan was 1 for 2 with a home run, his 9th.
- Andy Cannizaro was 1 for 3.
- Charlie Manning started, giving up just 1 hit and 1 walk in 3 shutout innings, and also striking out 3.
- Ross Ohlendorf gave up 2 runs on 4 hits in 3 innings, and also struck out 2.
- Jose Veras gave up 2 hits and struck out 2 in 2 shutout innings.
- Chris Britton gave up a hit in 2 shutout innings.
- TJ Beam struck out the side in the 11th to earn the win.
- Brett Gardner set the table, going 3 for 5 with a stolen base and an outfield assist (throwing out his rival prospect Jacoby Ellsbury trying to stretch a double into a triple).
- Angel Chavez, Alberto Gonzalez and Erubiel Durazo were each 1 for 4 with a walk.
- Eric Duncan was 2 for 4 with a walk.
- Chase Wright had his best outing in a while, pitching 6 scoreless innings while allowing 7 hits and 2 walks and striking out 1. Wright also kept the ball on the ground, forcing 11 groundball outs against 5 flyouts.
- Kevin Whelan struck out 3 but (of course) walked 1 in a scoreless inning of relief.
- Colin Curtis was 3 for 5 with a double.
- Juan Miranda was 2 for 5 with a home run and a double.
- Cody Ehlers was 2 for 4 with a double.
- Gabriel Lopez was 2 for 4.
- George Kontos did not pitch well, giving up 6 runs (5 earned), 7 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings, although he did strike out 4. He didn't get much help from his bullpen, as Wilkins Arias allowed both inherited runners to score.
- Eduardo Nunez was 2 for 5.
- Austin Jackson was 0 for 4 with a walk.
- José Tabata was 1 for 4 with a stolen base, his 15th.
- Edwar Gonzalez was 2 for 4 with a triple.
- Chris Malec was 1 for 3 with a home run.
- Marcos Vechionacci was 1 for 4 with a walk and an error.
- Francisco Cervelli was 2 for 4 with a double and a triple.
- Kevin Russo was 2 for 3 with a walk.

- Ferdin Tejeda struck out 3 in 1 2/3 perfect innings of relief.
- Jesse Hoover gave up 2 runs on 3 hits in 2 innings.
- Mitch Hilligoss was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk.
- Kyle Anson was 2 for 4 with a double.
- Chase Odenreider was 1 for 3.
- Tim O'Brien was 2 for 4 with a double.
- Ryan Pope had another solid outing, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits and a walk in 5 innings, and striking out 7. His ERA on the season is now 2.29.
- Justin Snyder was 1 for 4 with a walk.
- Taylor Holiday was 1 for 5.
- Damon Sublett was 1 for 4 with a double.
- Braedyn Pruitt was 1 for 4.
- Jose Gil was 1 for 5.
- DJ Hollingsworth and Dave Williams were each 1 for 2.
- Matt Morris was 3 for 4.
- Noel Castillo had another dominant outing, giving up just 3 hits and a walk in 6 shutout innings, striking out 5 in the process. While his 1.51 ERA is nice, I would be more impressed if he weren't 23 playing against mostly teenagers.
- Wilkins De La Rosa struck out 2 and gave up 4 hits in 2 shutout innings.
- Abe Almonte was 1 for 3 with a walk.
- Zoilo Almonte was 2 for 4 with a double.

- Kelvin Castro was 1 for 4 with a double and a stolen base.
- Melky Mesa was 1 for 3.
