I just got back from the Yank/Sox game. I'm really tired, so this is going to be quick. Scranton 6, Syracuse 2 - Steve White struck out 7 and walked 5 in 7 shutout innings. With Kennedy gone, White is Scranton's ace for the playoff run. Eric Duncan, Alberto Gonzalez and Brett Gardner were hitless. Doug Minky went 3 for 5 with a double and a home run.  T.J. Beam gave up 2 runs in 2 innings of relief.  Portland 5 Trenton 1 -Tyler Clippard started Game 1 for the Thunder, allowing 5 runs, 3 earned, in 4 2/3 innings. He struck out 5 and walked 3. Juan Miranda was 1 for 2 with a double. Curtis and Ehlers were hitless. Trenton 4 Portland 3 - Mike Gardner was excellent in Game 2, allowing just 1 run in a 3-inning spot start with 3 strikeouts and 2 walks. Scott Patterson struck out 5 and walked 1 in 3 innings while allowing 2 runs to score. Colin Curtis was 1 for 3 with a HBP. Juan Miranda was 1 for 2 with two walks. Reegie Corona was 0 for 2 with two walks. Cody Ehlers was 2 for 3 with a double and two walks. Tampa 8 Lakeland 2 - Anthony Claggett started, allowing 2 runs, 1 earned, in 6 innings. He struck out 5 and walked 2. Austin Jackson was 2 for 5 with a triple and a double. Eddy Nunez was 2 for 4 and Vechionacci was 1 for 5. Columbus 2 Charleston 1 - Erick Hacker hurled 5 shutout innings in game 1, striking out 6. Ferdin Tejada allowed 2 earned runs in 1 1/3 innings.  Hilligoss and Fortenberry were hitless. Calzado was 1 for 3. Columbus 2 Charleston 1 - Mike Dunn started Game 2, allowing 1 earned run in 5 innings.  He struck out 6 and walked 1. Mitch and Seth were hitless, and Calzado was again 1 for 3. Staten Island 14 Aberdeen 4 - Zach McAllister went 5 innings for the start, allowing 3 runs and striking out 5 without walking a batter. Justin Snyder was hitless. Damon Sublett went 3 for 4 with a triple and two walks. Krum went 3 for 4, Williams was 2 for 4 with a walk, and Chris Raber was 4 for 5 with 6 RBIs. GCL Yankees 11 Dodgers 4 - Manny Barreda allowed 3 runs, 2 earned, in 4 1/3 innings. He struck out 6 and walked 2.  Abe Almonte was hitless. Cuello went 1 for 5. Zoilo Almonte went 3 for 5 with a double. Jesus Montero was 2 for 4 with a walk. Gerardo went 2 for 4 with a big 3-run home run. Walter Ibarra, red hot, went 4 for 5. One down, one more win to go.
