Scranton falls to Buffalo, 6-1

• Ian Kennedy had a solid outing, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits and 2 walks in 5 2/3 innings, striking out 7 in the process.
• Chris Britton gave up a run on 2 hits in 1 1/3 innings.
• Brett Gardner was 2 for 5 with a triple, but was also caught stealing.
• Alberto Gonzalez was 2 for 3 with a walk.
• Raul Chavez was 2 for 4.

Trenton blanks Binghamton, 7-0

• Chase Wright had his best outing in a long time, throwing a complete-game shutout while allowing only 4 hits and 2 walks, and striking out 3.
• Reegie Corona was 1 for 4 with a walk.
• Colin Curtis was 2 for 5.
• Mike Kinkade was 3 for 4 with a double.
• Cody Ehlers was 1 for 3 with a walk.
• Matt Carson was 2 for 4 with a double.

Tampa's game against Sarasota was suspended in the 4th inning, with Tampa leading 8-0.  George Kontos struck out 6 in 4 shutout innings, and Austin Jackson was 2 for 2 with 2 triples and a walk. Charleston tops Rome, 10-7

• Ivan Nova had another tough outing, giving up 5 runs (2 earned) in 4 innings.  Nova surrendered 6 hits and 2 walks, and struck out 2.
• Ferdin Tejeda struck otu 3 and gave up a hit and 2 walks in 2 scoreless innings.
• Stephen Artz gave up a run on 2 hits in 2 innings, and struck out 2.
• Jon Hovis pitched 2/3 of a scoreless inning to earn his 27th save.
• Mitch Hilligoss was 2 for 5 with a walk.
• Seth Fortenberry was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, a walk and a stolen base.
• Kevin Smith was 3 for 4 with a double and a walk.
• Josue Calzado was 2 for 5 with a triple.

Staten Island loses to Lowell, 6-3

• Adam Olbrychowski didn't pitch well, giving up 6 runs (4 earned) in 4 innings, surrendering 6 hits and a walk and striking out 4.
• Taylor Holiday was 1 for 4.
• Damon Sublett was 3 for 4.
• Braedyn Pruitt was 1 for 4.
• DJ Hollingsworth was 2 for 3 with a double.

GCL Yankees outslug Indians, 11-8

• Manny Barreda started, giving up 4 runs (0 earned) in 2 innings, surrendering 3 hits and a walk and striking out 5.
• Wilkins De La Rosa gave up an unearned run on 1 hit and 1 walk in 2 innings.
• Abe Almonte was 2 for 4 with a walk, a stolen base, and another outfield assist.

• Zoilo Almonte was 1 for 3 with a stolen base.

• Brad Suttle got his first minor league hit, going 1 for 3.
