- Kei Igawa continued his mediocre pitching, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings. Igawa, who also struck out 3, threw 91 pitches but inexplicably had a groundout/flyout ratio of 8:4.
- Jose Veras gave up 2 runs on 4 hits and a walk with 2 strikeouts in 2 innings.
- Jim Brower gave up 2 hits in a scoreless 9th.
- Kevin Reese, Alberto Gonzalez and Kevin Thompson were each 1 for 4.
- Erubiel Durazo was 1 for 4 with a home run.
- Justin Christian was 2 for 4.
- Andy Cannizaro was 3 for 4.
- Daniel McCutchen, making his AA debut, was great, giving up just 4 hits and 2 walks in 5 shutout innings, while striking out 7.
- Joba Chamberlain dominated again out of the bullpen, striking out 2 in a perfect inning of work.
- Reegie Corona was 2 for 3 with a walk.
- Colin Curtis was 1 for 5.
- Bronson Sardinha was 1 for 4.
- Cody Ehlers was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles.
- The recently-demoted Omir Santos was 2 for 4 with a double.
- Anthony Claggett had a strong outing, giving up no runs in 5 innings on 4 hits and 1 walk. Claggett also struck out 5.
- Dave Robertson struck out 4 in 2 innings of relief, also giving up 1 hit and walking 2.
- Zach Kroenke gave up a hit and a walk in a scoreless 8th.
- Eduardo Nunez was 2 for 4.
- Austin Jackson was 1 for 4 with a strikeout.
- José Tabata was 0 for 2 with 2 walks.
- Chris Malec was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk.
- Paul Patterson pitched well, giving up only 3 hits and striking out 3 in 5 shutout innings.
- Recent Indy League signee Stephen Artz struck out 5 in 2 perfect innings, giving him 7 k's in 3 perfect innings as a Yankee. In 28 1/3 innings for San Angelo of the United League, Artz put up a 2.86 ERA and struck out 46 against 3 walks. I have no scouting report on him, but given his numbers and the success of previous signees Edwar Ramirez, Scott Patterson and Justin Christian, I will keep an eye on the 23 year-old Artz.
- Mitch Hilligoss was 2 for 5 with 2 stolen bases.
- Josue Calzado was 3 for 5 with a home run.
- Kevin Smith was 1 for 3 with a walk.
- Kyle Anson was 1 for 2 with a double and 2 walks.
- Zach McAllister had a solid outing, giving up 1 run on 5 hits and 1 walk in 4 innings. McAllister, who also struck out 4, had an uncharacteristically low groundout to flyout ratio of 2:6.
- Kyle Hollander threw 3 2/3 innings of shutout ball, allowing just 2 hits and 1 walk to lower his ERA to 0.66.
- Justin Snyder was 0 for 5 with 2 strikeouts.
- Taylor Holiday was 2 for 5.
- Damon Sublett was 2 for 3 with a strikeout, and his average is up to .286.
- Braedyn Pruitt was 2 for 3 with a walk, raising his average to .468.
- Dave Williams was 1 for 4 with a walk.
- Jose Gil was 1 for 4 with a home run and 2 strikeouts.
- Austin Krum was 1 for 4 with a triple.
- Isiah Howes was 2 for 3.
