Due to a rediculously busy work/school schedule, I've been getting these in pretty late.  My apologies to all of you, and hopefully things will slow down in time for my next recaps! Scranton 2, Ottowa 9
  • Scranton continues to be owned by the Ottowa Lynx, who've swept three games in a row and helped extend Scranton's winless streak to six games. Yikes.
  • Ross Ohlendorf lasted five innings, giving up nine hits and four runs. He walked two and struck out four.
  • Darrell Rasner pitched three scoreless innings.
  • Erick Burke and Justin Pope combined for a disasterious, five run 9th inning. Burke gave up three runs, and Pope surrendered two, with a combined four hits, two walks, and one homerun.
  • It was Pope's second horrendous outing in a row. (On the 21st, he left the game with an ERA of 189.0) Before Ottowa, Pope hadn't allowed a run yet this season.
  • Scranton's only runs came in the 9th inning, when Andy Phillips hit a two run homerun after a Bully Sardinha single. Sardinha was 2-4 on the night, and the long ball was Phillips' first hit in his four at-bats.
  • Kevin Reese went 1-3 with a single and a walk.
  • Shelley Duncan, Raul Chavez and Alberto Gonzales each contributed a single earlier in the game.
Thunder 5, Connecticut 3
  • The Thunder are off to a historic 13-4 start, following last year's 1-13 beginning. Maybe the Yankees oughta take a little bit of their luck.
  • Jeff Marquez started, and helped the Thunder with a 6 inning, seven-hit, three run effort. He struck out three.
  • Edwar Ramirez got his third win of the season with two scoreless innings of work.
  • Justin Christian went 3-2 with two rbi, a double and a triple.
  • Matt Carson was 1-3 with a homerun
  • Aarom Baldiris also contributed an RBI
Charleston 2, Savannah 1
  • Classic pitchers duel, except for the fact that Charleston used five pitchers to get it done.  Luke Trubee was the only Riverdog to give up a run.
  • Andres Perez tripled and scored on a passed ball
  • The only other Charleston run came on a Seth Fortenberry single that scored Mitch Hilligoss
Tampa 3, Dunedin 2
  • Daniel McCutchen pitched a gem, going 6.1 innings, only allowing three hits and one run.
  • Eric Wordekemper allowed the only other Dunedin run.
  • Jose Tabata was 1-4 with a walk
  • Edwar Gonzalez was 2-4 with two doubles and two RBI
  • Tim Battle was 3-5 with an RBI and a stolen base
