- Hughes got the start, and had probably the worst game of his career. He pitched 5 innings, allowed 2 walks, 7 hits, and 5 runs. He struck out only one. Ben of RAB points out though that it was 40 degrees outside, so we can probably excuse Phil for not looking so great. He's definately not ready yet though, but don't worry. He will be.
- Eric Duncan was 1-2 with a walk.
- Bronson Sardinha was 2-3 with a double (the game was rain shortened). He is 4 for his last 12 with two doubles.
- Jose Tabata went 2-3 with 2 walks. He's now batting .476/.556/.714 on the season. The over/under on his promotion to Trenton is June 15th. What do you pick?
- Reegie Corona went 0-5. Ouch.
- Tim Battle was 1-3 with 2 walks and a stolen base. He has struck out 9 times in 26 plate appearances and 7 games, 6 times in the last 3 games. He's showing the new contact ability the he supposively developed last season. I'm not nearly as high on Battle as many.
- Marcos Vechionacci went 0-3 with a walk.
- Francisco Cervelli went 1-3 with a double and a walk. Consistency
- Juan Miranda went 1-2 with a double, a walk, and 2 RBIs. The over/under on his promotion is also June 15th. If Ehlers continues to struggle, make that May 20th.
- George Kontos made a decent little start. He struck out 6 in 5 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 6 hits and 2 walks. Kontos is going to take time to master High A hitters, but the early signs are very positive. He'll be at Tampa all season.
- Austin Jackson went 2-4 with 2 strikeouts and 2 RBIs. Far too many strikeouts
- Wilmer Pino went 2-4. He's up to .360/.414/560 in 8 games. In 28 plate appearances, he has only struck out 3 times.
- Eduardo Nunez went 0-4. He needs to get going.
- Seth Fortenberry went 2 for 5. He's now up to .286/.394/.464 on the season. He also stole a base. I'm not a fan, but I've been wrong many times before.
- Mitch Hilligoss went 0-4 with an error and a walk. He's still getting used to 3rd, but should be pretty good there when all is said and done.
